Marion Roberts is Professor of Urban Design at the University of Westminster. She is qualified as an architect and has a PhD. Her most recent research projects have been on the topic of the night-time economy, mixed-use streets and mixed income communities. She has specialist expertise on the night-time economy and has led a number of research projects on the topic. The research projects capture the voices of all the stakeholders in the night-time economy, including residents and consumers, and focus on the urban environment, planning, management and culture in the context of rapid expansion of night-life.

Currently she is writing a book entitled “Planning the Night-time City” to be published by Routledge. Recent publications include:
