Previous Conferences
To date, the European Sociological Association organized five conferences:

1. Vienna, 24 - 27 August 1992: "Sociological Perspectives on a Changing Europe: Paradoxes of Socio-economic, Political and Cultural Transformation"
2. Budapest, 30 August - 2 September 1995: "European Societies: Fusion or Fission?"
3. Essex, 27 - 30 August 1997: "20th Century Europe: Inclusions/Exclusions"
4. Amsterdam, 18 - 21 August 1999: "Will Europe Work?"
5. Helsinki, 28 August - 1 September 2001: "Visions and Division: Challenges to European Sociology"
