Fields of the Faculty

The Faculty is comprised of nine departments, one institute, a library and the independent Swedish-language Swedish School of Social Science.

Teaching and research at the Faculty of Social Sciences cover a wide variety of fields in a multifaceted manner. The names of most departments indicate the disciplines and fields studied and taught in them; however, some departments represent two disciplines, and others are further divided into specialisation options. The Faculty also carries out a number of multidisciplinary programmes in cooperation between several departments.
