The Politics of Consultation:
Governance implications of Poverty Reduction Strategy
formulation
in five developing countries.
This policy study analyzes the political implications of
consultative mechanisms that are a part of public policy formulation processes
in aid-dependent countries. The study will assess the experience of stakeholder
consultation in the context of Poverty Reduction Strategy programming (PRSP)
processes in a diverse set of political, economic and institutional environments.
Field-based case studies are being undertaken in Honduras, Malawi, Tanzania &
Zambia.
