- Study unit Kf210: History of Philosophy, 6-10 credits
- Study unit Kf220: 20th Century Philosophy, 5-10 credits
- Study unit Kf230: Ethics, 5-10 credits
- Study unit Kf240: Social Philosophy, 5-10 credits
- Study unit Kf250: Scientific Reasoning and Philosophical Argumentation, 5-10 credits
- Study unit Kf270: Philosophy of the Social Sciences, 5-10 credits
- Study unit Kf281: Philosophical Methods
- Study unit Kf282: Seminars I+II, 4+4 credits
- Study unit Kf283: Labour Market Orientation, 1 credit

All major students complete the obligatory seminars (Kf280) and thesis (Kf290) and at least 5-6 credits in study units Kf210-Kf270 (the obligatory parts). In addition, the students complete also one or two supplementary study units so that the total number of credits in intermediate studies is at least 54 credits.
