This course will provide students with knowledge on both theories and updated applications of Network Society. The focus of the course is on electronic citizenship. Students will have a participatory environment where they will learn, understand, think and discuss on how new technologies change the way citizens access information, communicate, organize and participate and become e-citizens.In class and online participation are highly valued for this course. There will be group presentations to be done with online tools on the issues of network society. Students will write an essay on future applications of e-citizenship as their final work.
Reading: Readings will be given for each lecture to be discussed in class.
