Objectives

The aim is to introduce the micro basis of economic theory and to give an insight into some microeconomic applications. Among the topics are the following: further analysis of consumer demand; the theory of the firm; market structures; general equilibrium analysis and welfare theory.

Mode of assessment

A lecture course (45 hours) in Finnish, practical exercises and examinations.
