Workshop on values

The workshop meets on Tuesdays at 12-14 and Wednesdays at 14-16 from November 3rd until December 16th, 2009. On Tuesdays the veunue is Unioninkatu 38, hall A205 and on Wednesdays the venue is Unioninkatu 37, seminar room 3.

All participants must be present at the first meeting.

Target group/Course level

Maximum 16 students will be admitted to the workshop.

Priority is given to those students who participate in REMS- and ERI-programs, and the students of sociology, social psychology and social policy.

Objectives

The aim of the workshop is to give a broad understanding of the field while highlighting some specific aspects of values reasearch.

Completion

The workshop starts with an introductory lecture during which a reading list will be given. This reading list forms the basis of subsequent group discussions. The participants will jointly write an essay of 3-4 pages based on the articles. The evaluation is based on workshop participation and the written assignment.
