All political science postgraduate students.Objectives
This is a compulsory course for all postgraduate students and should be taken at the beginning of postgraduate studies. The course is organised once a year in the autumn term. The aim of the course is to introduce new students to postgraduate studies at the Department of Political Science. Topics covered include writing research plans, applying for funding and scholarships, exchange studies, attending conferences and getting published. During the course the students are requested to do a personal study plan.Content

Topics covered: What do postgraduate studies consist of? Which courses have to be taken? How to get study points? What is good supervision and how often can you meet your supervisor? Should one write a monograph or should the dissertation consist of journal articles?
