Research Unit of Economic Structures and Growth
Center of Excellence
This year is the twelfth year of operation for the Research Unit of Economic Structures and Growth (RUESG). RUESG has been selected by the Academy of Finland as a unit in the national programme for Centres of Excellence in Research for the years 2002-2007. RUESG has three goals: (i) to conduct top-level research in selected areas of economics (see the web pages of RUESG for details), (ii) to train selected graduate students in their PhD studies and (iii) to occasionally provide expertise on economic policy problems in Finland.
Unit is funded jointly by The Academy of Finland, the University of Helsinki, Nokia Group, Bank of Finland and the Yrjö Jahnsson Foundation.
