Based on the size of the student base and the number of employed
personnel, the Department of Sociology is one of the largest Departments
in the Faculty of Social Sciences. Students at the Department
of Sociology have the opportunity to study two subjects: Sociology
and Social
and Cultural Anthropology. After basic studies in Sociology
have been completed students can choose a study track in either
general Sociology or Demography. By providing teaching in both
fields, students can familiarise themselves with more specialised
fields in Sociology.
