Transformative Politics in the North American Political Economy
In this paper I will explore the possibilities for transformative politics within the North American “economic” area. This theme is related to other forms of transformative contemplation and action within the broader global/transnational and other regional contexts. In this paper that looks at the emerging North American community mainly from Mexican and transnational perspectives, it is suggested that even if the politics of neoliberal consolidation is predominant in this contexts due to various historical, economic, political and cultural reasons, it is possible that emerging changes of many regional end extra-regional variables may open the possibility for transformative politics in this regional context.
