The Centre for European Studies (CESUH) at the University of Helsinki was launched in 1997. In its original form, as the Programme on European Policy-Making (in the Department of Political Science), it was established to enhance the study of and expertise on European integration in Finland. The activities of the present interdisciplinary Centre cover both research and teaching related to European integration in several fields of social sciences. CESUH provides a forum for debate and interaction between different actors, both from the public and private sector, working in the field of integration.
